How to find the certain in uncertainty

I’m curious, what is your relationship with uncertainty? If it makes you feel uncomfortable, you’re certainly not alone.

Uncertain situations often make us feel anxious because we feel that we have no control over the outcome. But what if we were to reframe the outcome?

What if the outcome stops being about selling the business, getting pregnant or making the right hire – but rather about growing as a result of each situation? If that becomes the outcome, then a lot more things are within our control 😉.

A quote to keep in mind

Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Live in the question.”

― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet

How to find the certain in uncertainty

Life is full of uncertain situations. If you’re noticing that uncertainty makes you feel anxious, start by naming it – “I’m feeling anxious because the outcome of this situation is uncertain.”

Then try to find the certain in the uncertainty – “What are all the possible scenarios? How will my soul and mindset evolve in each of these scenarios?”

Once you have looked at each possible outcome through a growth lens, you will more easily make friends with uncertainty 😉.
